ABOUT THE EVENT
The Railway City Road Races are back on Sunday, September 27, 2026, and we're inviting runners, walkers, families, and cheer squads to experience one of Southwestern Ontario's favourite race days!
Set against the backdrop of the historic CASO Station in St. Thomas, our flat and fast courses wind through scenic streets, paved trails, colourful murals, iconic landmarks, and the rich railway heritage that makes our community so unique. Whether you're chasing a personal best, tackling your very first race, or simply enjoying a fun walk with family and friends, there's a distance for everyone.
Choose from the Rob Broadbent Half Marathon (21.1K), 10K, 5K, or our crowd-favourite 1K Choo Choo Challenge for kids. Every participant receives an incredible race experience, complete with a race kit, finisher medal, post-race refreshments, entertainment, and access to our exciting Health Hut Wellness Expo.
Most importantly, every step you take helps make a difference. Proceeds from the Railway City Road Races support Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin, helping create life-changing mentoring relationships for local children and youth.
Registration opens January 1, with the best pricing available to those who register early—so don't wait!
Whether you're running for a new personal record, walking with friends, or supporting an amazing cause, we can't wait to welcome you to the starting line.
We'll see you at the finish line!
