Out on the Course
Our 5K, 10K and Half Marathon courses will be clearly marked and supported by an incredible team of volunteers, police and REACT members assisting at road crossings and closures.
Water stations along the routes will offer water and Gatorade to keep runners hydrated, while St. John Ambulance will be on and around the courses should medical assistance be needed. Cyclists will also help lead our first-place male and female runners in each race, with sweep cyclists following the course to help ensure everyone makes it safely to the finish line.
Choo-Choo Challenge — Kids’ 1K
It’s time for our littlest runners to take over! The Choo-Choo Challenge begins on the pathway beside the Elgin County Railway Museum and heads east toward the Joe Thornton Community Centre before turning around and racing back to the finish.
The entire 1K route will be supported by volunteers and filled with colourful balloons and chalk drawings to cheer our young runners along. Parents and caregivers are welcome to run alongside their little ones or cheer them on from the sidelines.
